Our Charity Partners

We are proud to support the tech for good movement by way of our charity partners

Up is a purpose-driven business, constantly seeking to put our network and position to good use to support society and drive positive social impact. As such, we are proud to partner with two amazing charities, Beam and Hope and Homes for Children.

Beam is the world’s first crowdfunding platform that supports homeless people into stable work. Through the platform, businesses and individuals fund job training and remove other financial barriers facing homeless people, such as travel costs and childcare. To date, Beam has crowdfunded over £2.5million in donations, 100% of which helps homeless people pursue stable work in sectors ranging from healthcare to construction. At the same time, Beam is providing employers with diverse, vetted talent, for free.

Through Beam, The Up Group have helped change
141 lives!
We have done this by…

Supporting 88 people into work

Supporting 73 people into housing

“The Up Group’s ongoing contributions have directly helped homeless people start work through Beam. We’re grateful to be working with an organisation like Up that recognises technology’s potential to change the lives of the most disadvantaged within our communities.”

— Alex Stephany, Founder & CEO, Beam

Hope and Homes for Children is an international charity that works to stop the institutionalisation of children. Instead, they fight for every child to feel the love and belonging of a safe family home.

Since their inception in 1994, they have closed 126 orphanages, helped transition 17,797 children into loving, family based or alternative care and prevented 268,156 children from entering orphanages in the first place.
