Digital Masters - London Board and Investor Dinner 2022
Earlier this week, we hosted our annual London Board and Investor Dinner at The Landmark London, the first event of our Digital Masters 2022 programme. Now in its eighth year, we were thrilled to be able to bring together the key players from the UK and Europe’s most disruptive, most successful and most transformative companies.

250 CEOs, Investors and Board Members, from VC-backed, PE-backed and corporate companies, all of whom are leveraging digital technologies for growth and transformation, came together for an evening of informal networking. After last year’s hiatus, there was definitely a sense of triumph, celebration and huge excitement in the room at once again being able to connect in-person.
Our guest speaker for the evening was Nickyl Raithatha, CEO of Moonpig, the online card and gifting platform that went public on the London Stock Exchange in 2021. Nickyl previously founded Finery the online British womenswear brand and was also with Rocket Internet. Nickyl shared with the room his reflections from being a PE-backed CEO with a private, largely investor-oriented board, to building a pre-IPO board and leading Moonpig through its listing. His dancefloor analogues were a particular highlight!
This year, The Up Group are honoured to have partnered with Hope and Homes for Children. They close orphanages, support care reform and help overhaul child protection across the world. We took this opportunity to raise funds for this phenomenal charity and have so far donated over £2,000. This money will go towards helping the 100,000 children who remain warehoused in the 700 orphanages across the country of Ukraine.
