Finance Leaders Meet-Up 2024

Last night we hosted an intimate Finance Leaders Meet-Up for Chief Financial Officers from companies including Motorway, Monzo, Boohoo, Tide, Typeform, Job&Talent and many others. It was an inspiring evening of networking and insight sharing with this diverse and talented group. 

We heard from two fantastic speakers: Paolo Savini Nicci, CFO at Job&Talent, and Liz Kistruck, CFO at Motorway. Liz kicked off proceedings, discussing how CFOs must navigate chaos effectively by embracing it, leveraging technology and building aligned relationships with the rest of the leadership team. Liz also highlighted how data-driven decision-making is crucial for CFOs as a strong data and tech foundation can enable a more ambitious risk appetite. 

Following Liz, Paolo discussed Job&Talent’s growth journey over recent years and highlighted different avenues to growth through a combination of fundraising, acquisitions and the debt market. Paolo also explored the key components of successful fundraising and highlighted the need for a clear growth story, a well defined investment thesis, preservation of a strong relationship with lenders and providing transparent information to investors.
